Eric Houston

Head Coach Eric Houston starts his sixth season leading Eastern Women's Basketball in 2020-'21. His time at Eastern, however extends back considerably further. Coach Houston has been part of the Eastern Basketball family since he began as a player in 2002. He was named the Most Improved Player in 2005. After graduation, he worked as an assistant in the Men's program and earned a Masters in Multi-Cultural Education before moving to the Women's program where he was an assistant to Nate Davis during a very successful five-year run.

Houston proved to be an excellent recruiter and showed the ability to teach the game, The Eagles finished 17-9 and reached the MAC Freedom Semifinals in 2016-17. Houston led the Eagles back to the MAC Freedom Tournament in 2019-20 and was named MAC Freedom Coach of the Year. He recruited and developed Kay Wulah, the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year. Without a senior on the roster, the Eagles had five players average between 8.9 and 14 points per game.
