Stefan Bergman

  • Title
    Assistant Strength and Conditioning
Stefan Bergman joins the Eastern University Men’s Lacrosse Staff as an Assistant Defensive Coordinator for the 2021-22 season.

Although this is his first official season working directly with the Men’s Lacrosse coaching staff, Coach Bergman has been assisting with the team throughout their Strength and Conditioning training since his arrival on campus in 2020 as a Graduate Assistant Strength Coach and MBA candidate for a degree in Business Leadership. He will continue to contribute as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the program in combination with his role as an assistant on the defensive side of the field.

Coach Bergman grew up playing lacrosse in the Philadelphia area, graduating from LaSalle College High School in 2013. His lacrosse career enabled him to attend The University of Michigan where he started as a close defenseman for three seasons and assisted in building the cultural foundation after the organization had transitioned from the club level to a Division I program a year before his arrival.

Coach Bergman decided to pursue a more involved role in working with the Men’s Lacrosse program because he was inspired by the growth and dedication of the lacrosse athletes that he has been able to coach, the leadership and commitment of Coach Wallace, Waldman, Verna, and Piper, and because of his love for the sport of lacrosse and helping young athletes identify and achieve their goals.
