Tarek Hamzeh joins the Eastern University Men's Basketball staff as a volunteer assistant. Hamzeh played three seasons for the Eagles and graduated in 2017.
Hamzeh was a 43 percent shooter from behind the arc and hit some huge shots in his career, but his career was marked by a willingness to do what the team needed. Though only 6'2, he was able to guard players on the wing and in the post. As a defender, he was able to draw charges and deflect passes.
He scored a career-high 20 points with six 3-pointers at Ursinus in 2014.Â
In addition to working with player development and advance scouting, the Miami native will be a primary connection for Florida recruiting. He is recognized as the best cook on the Eastern Men's Basketbal staff.
