Ryan Nemetz

Ryan Nemetz joined the Eastern University Men’s Basketball Program in the 2014-2015 season.  Over the past two seasons, Coach Nemetz has worked closely with the players in all areas of the program including recruiting, player development, academic progress and scouting.  This year, Coach Nemetz's primary focus is serving as the defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator.

Coach Nemetz was a scholar-athlete at Kutztown University from 2007-2009 then transferred to Temple University where he served as a walk-on and student assistant from 2010-2012 under coach Fran Dunphy.  All five years that Coach Nemetz participated in college basketball, his team made the NCAA tournament.

Prior to his time at Eastern University, Coach Nemetz served as the Director of Player Development at the House of Sports (Westchester, NY), Senior Staff Coach at IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida) and Assistant Director of Team Nelson (Chester, PA) where he has coached numerous college and professional basketball players.

Coach Nemetz is passionate about developing student-athletes to become better servant-leaders and people through his teaching and coaching.  He also currently serves as the Director for the Pete and Jameer Nelson Foundation, a non-profit organization, which provides scholarship opportunities for young students in the tri-state area and provides academic, social and leadership development through athletics.
