Eastern University Athletics

Hunter Rickels joins the Eastern University Men’s Basketball staff for the 2024-2025 season as a graduate assistant. 

Before Eastern, Rickels spent five year at Loras College in Dubuque, IA, two as a player and the last three as a coach. Additionally, Rickels was a part of Loras’ track and field team, helping them win three conference championships. 

As a coach, Rickels spent his first two years as the JV Head Coach and his third year as an assistant on the varsity squad. In his final year, the Duhawks won the American Rivers Conference and made it to the round of 32 in the national tournament, ranking 26th in the country.
