Colin Campbell joins the Eastern University Men's Basketball staff as an assistant coach for the 2016-2017 season after serving the 2015-2016 season at Paris Junior College in the same capacity. Paris JC is a member of the NJCAA Region XIV a conference primarily comprised of schools located in East Texas.
Before his arrival at Paris Junior College, Campbell served as Director of Scouting for Texas Grassroots Basketball a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality experiences for young men through the vehicle of basketball. Campbell also served as a talent evaluator/recruiting analyst for Texas Boys Basketball Scouting Service while living in Texas from 2014-2016.
While a student at Manhattanville College, Campbell played three seasons at the NCAA Division III institution in Purchase, NY a member of the MAC-Freedom conference. As a senior at Manhattanville College Campbell averaged 12.5 points a game helping his team reach the MAC-Freedom conference tournament. Prior to Manhattanville College Campbell attended Florida State College at Jacksonville, an NJCAA school who belongs to Region VIII. Campbell appeared in 24 games starting five of the final six games of the season as a walk-on freshman.
Campbell, a Miami, Fl native, graduated from Immaculata-La Salle High School in 2010. While at Immaculata-La Salle Campbell played two seasons under Eastern University Head Coach Eric McNelly from 2006-2008 and was a 3x district champion and FHSAA regional finalist over his high school career.
In addition to Campbell being a college coach, he is the co-owner and President of HoopMIA a basketball organization designed to provide quality events and experiences for young people in South Florida.
Campbell holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Manhattanville College and currently resides in Philadelphia, Pa.
