Nate Hinkle

Nate Hinkle enters his 4th season with Eastern Football serving as the Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator (QBs).  Last season, Eastern's Offense set multiple program records en route to their first playoff appearances in program history.  The offense's points per game increased as 26.6 (22.7 previously) as well as total yards increasing to 348.3 (304.4 previously).  Eastern led the MAC in rushing yards last season with 2805 yards, averaging 5.3 a carry and 29 TDs.  QB Brett McNabb was recognized as the MAC Offensive Player of the Year as well 6 All-Conference players and 3 All-Region.

He joined the Eastern University football staff as its first offensive coordinator in 2022. Hinkle came to Eastern after a two-year stint as the co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Widener.

The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native played his collegiate football at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, where he started 22 straight games for the Marauders at defensive tackle, tallying 46 tackles, two interceptions, and two sacks.

Hinkle began his coaching career at his alma mater, serving in a variety of roles, including running backs coach, tight ends coach, and Head of Football Operations. Hinkle went on to serve as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at King’s College in the 2018 season, where he led the second-ranked rushing offense in the MAC.

At Widener, Hinkle coached eight All-MAC Conference players, one All-American, and one All-Region 1 player, while leading the No. 1 ranked offense in total offense, touchdowns scored, and sacks allowed in 2019.

Hinkle was one of Coach Crocker's first hires and has proved to be an outstanding recruiter who is committed to developing the program and the young men in it.
