Brittany Hawkins has joined the Eagle's coaching staff for the 2016 season. Brittany was a 4-year starter on the forward/midfield line at
Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. She was a key member of the teams’ first Conference championship in 12 years in 2013. In that championship series, Hawkins was named the offensive player of the week. In her career at Gordon, she is seventh in total points, goals, and assists in Gordon's field hockey history. She also ranked first in assists in the Commonwealth Coast Conference for the 2014 season.
Hawkins has also been an assistant coach at Danvers (MA) High School and Hamilton-Wenham (MA) High School. She comes to Eastern after a year internship at Phillips Exeter Academy. While there she was a Physical Education Teacher, assistant coach for Field Hockey, Basketball, and Lacrosse. Hawkins was also a volunteer field hockey coach for a field hockey club called Hockey Mates ran out of the University of New Hampshire.
Hawkins is currently pursuing her masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
