Will Mills enters his fifth year as the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Thiel College and a master’s degree in Secondary Education from Slippery Rock University. As an athlete at Thiel, he was a nine-time President’s Athletic Conference Champion and held eight school records.
Mills’ tenure at Eastern has been a productive one for the Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Under his direction, the Eagles have accomplished the following:
- 4 Second Team All-MAC performances in Cross Country
- 3 All-Metro Region performances for Cross Country
- 118 MAC podium performances in Track & Field (Indoor and Outdoor)
- 21 All-Metro Region performances in Track & Field (Indoor and Outdoor)
- 9 Conference Champions for Track & Field (Indoor and Outdoor)
- 3 National Qualifiers in Track & Field (Outdoor)
- 1 DIII Second Team All-American in Track & Field (Outdoor)
- 50 New Program Records for Track & Field (Indoor and Outdoor)
Prior to his time at Eastern, Mills coached at his Alma Mater Thiel College where he oversaw the construction of a new track and field complex and coached over 100 All-Conference performers, 3 All-Region Athletes, 8 Conference Champions, and 5 new program records.
Before his time at Thiel, Mills served as the Head Coach for the Indoor Track and Field program and as an Assistant Coach for the Outdoor Track and Field program at West Allegheny High School where he coached multiple WPIAL and PIAA qualifiers and medalists.
Mills has a USTFCCCA Level 1 Certification, and Specialist Certifications in Sprints, Hurdles, and Relays, Jumps, and Throws.
Mills and his wife Sarah live in King of Prussia, Pa.
