Brad Clemens joins the Eastern University Baseball staff after a strong career for the Eagles. Clemens started 130 games and hit .283 while giving the Eastern defense stability at the shortstop position. Over his five seasons, he had a .935 fielding percentage and was a three-year captain.Â
Clemens graduated in 2021 with a degree in Middle Level Education with a focus on Mathematics and Social Studies. He returned to the squad in 2022 as a graduate student working on his Master's in Reading Education.Â
The left-handed hitting shortstop was 18-for 49 with a nearly .500 on base percentage in a 12-game stretch when he suffered a season-ending injury. While not on the staff, he spent much of the last month of the season helping his fellow infielders to develop in his absence.
In his Clemens will work primarily with infielders.
