Men's Soccer Tops Centenary

Hackettstown, N.J.— Ethan Pfau scored twice and Zach Sievert and Morris Marshall added single tallies as Eastern University Men's Soccer picked up a 4-1 win at Centenary University. The Eagles (1-0-1) scored four times in the first hour and finished with a 27-10 edge in shots.

Marshall opened the scoring in the fourth minute. Despite controlling field position and possession, the Eagles did not double their edge until Pfau tallied on a feed from Camden Jones in the 41st minute.

Eastern had a 10-5 edge in shots at the break, but Michael Arcuri had to make just one save.

Sievert and Pfau put the game out of reach with goals in the 54th and 58th minutes. The Cyclones broke through on a penalty kick in the 66th minute.

The Eagles have not lost to Centenary in 17 matches dating back to 1991. The Cyclones' lone draw in the match-up came in 1992.

Eastern will host Moravian University on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
