GALLOWAY, N.J. - Eastern Field Hockey dropped a 7-0 decision to the Stockton Ospreys in its penultimate non-conference game of the season on Thursday. The Ospreys came in at 5-3, boasting wins over Bryn Mawr, Arcadia, Washington College, Alvernia, and Widener.
The Ospreys controlled the pace of play from start to finish. They fired off 28 shots, X of which were on goal, and took X penalty corners to Eastern's zero. Stockton scored five minutes into the opening minutes, notched a trio of goals in each of the second and third quarters, and added one more in the final frame.
Angelina Catania stood her ground against a relentless Ospreys' attack, making a season-high 14 saves.
CJ Summa recorded Eastern's lone shot.
Eastern will be back in action on Saturday to open its conference season against York at 1:00 pm.
