ST. DAVIDS, Pa.— Eastern University Women's Soccer dropped a 2-0 non-league decision to the visiting Franklin & Marshall Diplomats.
Faith Leake made 15 stops in goal to keep the Eagles in the match until late.
Though the Diplomats controlled most of the play and scored early goals in each half, the Eagles had some chances to close the gap. A first-half corner kick showed promise before an F & M defender cleared a ball from a space in front of the goal. Molly Shellpeper had a chance for a volley on a long ball in from

Jasmine Eccles picked off a pass between F & M defenders. but her pass to
Mia Zucker pushed her senior teammate a bit to far to the wing and the Diplomats recovered.
Heather Abzug uncorked a 25-yard shot in the 73rd minute that tested the goal. F & M goalkeeper Lucy Fleming parried the ball over the bar.
The Eagles(2-2) start a tough three-game stretch on the road with a match at Misericordia on Wednesday.
