CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Eastern University Women's Tennis won a doubles match, but could not pick up a point in in a 7-0 loss in cool and breezy conditions at DeSales.
Anisah Smith and
Sarah Mower ground out a 7-5 win at the top doubles spot, but the host Bulldogs earned comfortable wins at the other two doubles spots to lead the match 1-0.
Mary Brusstar had a very close loss at second singles. After dropping her opening set 6-4, she fell 7-5 in the second. Kaleigh Achenbach won seven games ina. loss at fifth singles and
Anaya Birch won six games in a loss at No. 6.
The Eagles (2-3) open their league season at York on Saturday.
