IMMACULATA, Pa. — In preparation for a massive MAC contest tomorrow, Eastern University Men's Volleyball posted an efficient three-set win at Immacualta University. Kino Tuitupuo finished with six kills to lead a balanced Eastern attack.
With a big block up, the Eagles held the host Mighty Macs (5-5) to a negative hitting percentage for the match.
Landon Mattiace had three blocks and
Kaodi Wokocha had two.
The Eagles hit .267 on the way to a 25-17 win in the opening set.
Josh Hrabosky had nine assists in the opener and finished the match with 24. As he has all year,
Kadin Kolstad delivered a big run at the service line to break the opening set open. Tuitupou and
Colby Arvesen each had five kills in the first.
Edwin Broussard had three kills in a 25-14 win in the second set. With Eastern's defense set, Immaculata managed only five kills in the frame. THe Eagles hit .214 with only three errors.
More balanced offense helped the Eagles to a 25-17 win in the third.
Roman Hill, Wokocha, and
Tiger Winston each posted two kills in the frame. THe Mighty Macs hit -.188 in the third.
The Eagles (11-12) host Widener in a critical MAC contest tomorrow at 4:00 pm. The Eagles could pick up an important result and tiebreaker with a home win tomorrow afternoon. They will also play John Jay in a late match.
