GALLOWAY, N.J.– In a road test at Stockton University, Eastern University Women's Lacrosse was unable to generate offense early on in a 15-2 loss to the host Ospreys. The Eagles held Stockton to three second-half goals in the loss.
The Ospreys controlled draws early and were tough in the clear, and the Eagles (2-5) did not put a shot on cage through the first three quarters. Midway through the fourth,
Morgan Wallace set up
Gracie Horton for a goal. Five minutes later,
Natalia Willoughby put away her team-best 21st goal of the year on a free position attempt.
Stockton won 17-of-21 draws and limited the Eagles to 50 percent on the clear.
Saturday's scheduled opponent, Bryn Mawr College, has canceled its season. As a result, that scheduled contest will not be made up. The Eagles will start their MAC Commonwealth schedule with a home game against Albright on April 2.
