ASTON, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Lacrosse dropped a non-league road test to a much-improved Neumann University squad. The Knights (3-3) led 9-0 after one quarter and held on for an 17-2 final. Morgan Wallace and Natalia Willoughby scored Eastern's goals in the third quarter.

The Eagles won four-of-ten first quarter draw controls, but they were unable to convert those possessions into multiple scoring opportunities as the Neumann defense forced seven turnovers and allowed just a single  Eastern shot in the period. Willoughby put the shot on goal, but it was turned away by Neumann goalie Sarah Kiraly.

The Eagles scored the first two goals of the second half on free position shots, but the host Knights were able to maintain possession with the running clock to secure the final margin.

Eastern (1-3) will have the weekend off before traveling to Gwynedd Mercy next Wednesday and hosting Centenary on the 22nd.
