ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Despite another strong performance from junior guard Jeriyah Johnson, Eastern Women's Basketball dropped a 75-47 decision to the Widener Pride in Chester. Johnson scored in double figures for the 10th consecutive contest, but the Eagles shot just 17-of-60 (28.3 percent) from the field in the loss.

Johnson paced the Eastern offense with 26 points to go along with six steals and hit 11 of the Eagles' 17 made field goals. Fellow junior Dominique Geiger finished with nine points and three rebounds off the bench, while Damiyae Moyet finished with six points on a pair of threes.

Eastern started out strong as Johnson and Moyet both hit threes to put the Eagles ahead 6-3, and Geiger followed with a layup to make it an 8-5 Eastern advantage with 6:49 to play in the opening quarter. The Pride found their footing as Mia Robbins and Lindsay Kutz hit layups to give Widener the lead for good at the 5:53 mark. The Pride ended the quarter on a 18-4 run to take a 25-13 lead into the second quarter.

The Eagles cut the lead to 10 early in the second quarter on Moyet's second three, but the Pride ended the first half on a 16-4 surge.

Eastern scored 20 points in the third quarter, but the Pride maintained a 19 to 24 point advantage throughout the frame. The Eagles went on to score just five points in the fourth quarter as the Pride pulled away for a 28-point victory. Robbins led the Pride with 26 points on 11-of-18 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds, while Kutz finished the night with 17 points.
