Rocket League Begins Spring Season with Competitive Loss to Queens

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Eastern University's Rocket League team opened their season with a nail-biting, back-and-forth series against Queens University. The match went the distance, with Queens ultimately taking the series in a narrow 3-2 victory.

Every game was a closely contested affair, showcasing the high-octane action and skill of both teams.

Despite the loss, Eastern University saw a standout performance from Matthew Davie. Davie proved to be a clutch player, finding the back of the net multiple times in key moments.

"His playmaking abilities were also on full display, as he consistently set up his teammates with excellent passes throughout the series," Eastern Head Coach Joshua Franklin said. "While the Eagles fell just short, Davie's performance offers a promising outlook for the remainder of the season."

Eastern will return to action Thursday night against the University of Ottawa.
