Kory David Joins Football Staff

ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– Eastern University Head Coach Billy Crocker announced that Kory David will join the Eastern University Football Staff as Defensive Coordinator. David, who has over 20 years of experience at top-level Division III programs, comes to Eastern after serving in the same role at Muhlenberg College.

"I am thrilled to be bringing someone of Kory's caliber to our staff," Crocker said. "He has extensive experience and a proven track record of developing top-notch defenses. Kory's defenses have consistently ranked at the top of both the Centennial Conference and nationally. He is an excellent recruiter and will also provide outstanding guidance to our Student-Athletes here at Eastern. This is a huge addition to an already very strong coaching staff."

In his seven years at Muhlenberg, the Mules won post-season games in all six seasons. In the 2019 and 2021 seasons, Muhlenberg won five NCAA Tournament games. In those games the Mules had four shutouts and allowed only a late touchdown in a 24-8 win over Salisbury in the third round of the 2019 Tournament.

At Muhlenberg, he had three defensive players earn All-America honors and 11 players receive All-Region recognition. The Mules won three Centennial Conference Championships and allowed 10 or fewer points 28 times. The Mules finished 10-1 in 2023.

Before Muhlenberg, David had successful stints as Defensive Coordinator at Hobart College, Delaware Valley University, and King's College. His Hobart teams finished 16-5 in his two seasons and his 2015 team was ranked in the top ten in Division III in First Downs Allowed, Total Defense, and Third Down Defense. His defense at Delaware Valley helped the Aggies to a MAC Title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

He received the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaching Fellowship and spent 2010-'12 with the Philadelphia Eagles organization working in quality control under Andy Reid.

That opportunity came after working with linebackers at Dickinson for three years following seven seasons as an assistant at Cortland. David was a two-time All-East selection at linebacker and played in the NCAA Tournament while at Cortland.

David lives in Conshohocken with his wife Katie and their two dogs. Katie has worked in the Front Office for the Philadelphia Eagles since 2008.
