FREDERICK, Md. - In Eastern Baseball's series opener with Hood on Friday, the host Blazers used two big innings and a remarkable 22 hits to beat the Eagles 20-0 at FCC. Eastern gave up 10 runs in the third and six runs in the fifth en route to its seventh straight conference loss.
Despite finishing with 11 hits, the Eagles left 11 runners on base, grounded into three double plays, and committed three errors in the defeat.
Garrett Friend,
Griffin Falco, and
Connor Schilling each collected a pair of hits, while
David Hunsberger,
Luke Meehan,
Brock Langlotz,
Trent Macdougall, and
Logan Klember each recorded one.
Eastern (12-16, 4-9) will conclude its season series with Hood tomorrow in its final home doubleheader of the season. First pitch at The Yard is scheduled for 12 noon.
