CAMDEN, N.J. - On Friday night, Eastern Women's Tennis dropped its second straight match of the spring in a 6-3 loss to Rutgers-Camden. The Eagles earned one win at doubles and a pair of three-set victories in singles play.
At No. 2 doubles,
Trinity Gruber and
Anisah Smith recorded Eastern's lone win, beating Alyssa Peacock and Nicoletta Troilo 8-1.
Sophomore
Rhyan Metzger picked up another win at No. 3 singles, overcoming a first set defeat to win 5-7, 6-2, 10-5.
Kiley McHugh also recorded a three-set win, beating Troilo 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Eastern (3-4 will be back in action this coming Wednesday, March 27 at DeSales. The Eagles were originally scheduled to take on Immaculata at home tomorrow, but the match was postponed due to incoming inclement weather.
