Smash Sweeps King's for First Win

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Playing in a match that was postponed to Monday, Eastern's Super Smash Brothers earned its first win of the season with a 2-0 win over King's College.

The first game set the tone for the series as the Eagles narrowly edged out the Monarchs in a thrilling finish. Kesi Hatton stole the show in game two as his aggressive playstyle and precise execution as both Greninja and Incineroar were unstoppable. Hatton singlehandedly secured six stocks for the Eagles to cement his status as MVP as the series.

"King's fought valiantly throughout both games, but our superior teamwork and individual brilliance proved to be the difference," Eastern Head Coach Josh Franklin said. "The series showcased the high level of competition in collegiate sports and left fans eagerly anticipating future matchups between these two talented teams."

Eastern will be back in action tonight at 8:00 pm against LVC.
