ARLINGTON, Va.– Eastern University Men's Volleyball dropped a pair of matches at Marymount University. The Eagles fell in three sets to the unbeaten hosts and lost in five to Virginia Wesleyan.
The Marymount Saints hit .231 as a team and held the Eagles to only 15 kills in winning the opening match of the tri-match. Andres Suarez-Batista had four kills and nine digs to lead the Eagles.
The Eagles won the first and third sets against the Marlins (1-1), but Virginia Wesleyan hit .281 in a 25-18 win in the fourth set and jumped out to a 6-3 lead in the fifth and won 15-9.
Max Bagileo led the Eagles with 10 kills, three aces and three blocks.
Chris Miller finished the match 38 assists and seven kills.
Rodney Quarles had nine kills and
Josiah Cash had eight.
The Eagles are at Neumann University on Wednesday night.
