Women's Soccer Falls at Ursinus

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - An offensive explosion in the first half proved to be the difference on Tuesday evening as Eastern Women's Soccer dropped a tough 5-0 decision to Ursinus at Patterson Field. The Bears (4-3-2) scored four goals in the first 36 minutes of play, and the Eagles' offensive struggles away from St. Davids continued.

Madison Bjorndahl scored the game's first goal in the 17th minute, before Grace Senese scored back-to-back goals in a three-minute span to push the advantage to 3-0. The Bears added two more goals in the first half and another insurance tally in the second to secure the victory.

The Eagles finished with eight shots in the contest, three of which were on goal. Senior midfielder Brynn Rathsam led the way with three shots, two on target, while Madelyn Mullen finished with two. Brooke Moskey and Faith Leake combined to make seven saves.

Eastern (1-4-2) opens up MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday at Hood. The contest is set to begin at 5:00 pm.
