ST. Davids, Pa.– Nearly two years after the original announcement of the addition of Football, Eastern University will play a varsity game. The Eagles will open their first campaign against a veteran group at The College of New Jersey. The Lions were picked as a dark horse in the very competitive New Jersey Athletic Conference. 

The Eagles will feature a line-up of first and second-year players against a line-up replete with juniors, seniors, and fifth-year players. TCNJ finished 3-6 overall and 2-4 in their league last year, but were within a few scores of flipping their record completely. Aside from a lopsided loss to Salisbury, the Lions were within a single score in their other three league setbacks.
