ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– Eastern University announced the addition of Football in September 21 with a target date of September 2023 for competing as a varsity program in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC). Eastern Head Coach Billy Crocker and his staff have announced a slate of ten games for this year. Eastern Football will open the 2023 season on the road at The College of New Jersey before running through a slate of nine MAC contests. 

With two recruiting classes to draw from, the Eastern staff will face the challenge of competing against older and more experienced teams each week of the season, but with the growth of the program, there is enthusiasm and optimism. 

After playing at TCNJ on September 2nd, the Eagles will open the home portion of their schedule with a 7 pm game at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. While the field, locker rooms, and strength facilities at Valley Forge are finished and in use, construction delays on bleachers and press box areas pushed the 2023 home game schedule to the historic venue in University City. The Eagles will play Alvernia under the lights on Sept. 9 and host the defending MAC Champion Delaware Valley University Aggies for a 1 pm game on Sept. 16. 

Eastern Football returns to the road for a game at Lebanon Valley on Sept. 23 before a bye week in the schedule. In its season as a club program, Eastern Football played its opening gae at Arnold Field in Annville. 

After the bye, the Eagles are at Misericordia University on Oct. 7. Eastern's Homecoming is the weekend on Oct. 14. Along with the induction of a Hall of Honor Class on Friday night and other alumni activities around campus, the program will host Albright at Franklin Field on Saturday evening for a 7:00 pm start. 

The Eagles will head back north for a game at King's on Oct. 21st before wrapping up the home portion of the schedule with 1 pm game against FDU-Florham at Franklin Field on Oct. 28. Eastern's final two games are at Widener and then at Stevenson. All Eastern's games will be streamed live and a radio call will be made available through Jakib Sports Media. 

Eastern's returning players and incoming group will be back on Campus in early August to begin practice on Aug. 10.
