BALTIMORE, Md. - On Saturday, Eastern Track and Field competed at the Hopkins and Loyola Invitational at Johns Hopkins University. The meet was called due to inclement weather in the area, both teams however managed to gain impressive results.
For the women,
Aliza White-Vega set the school outdoor record for pole vault with a sixth-place finish (3.34 meters). White-Vega distance cleared her previous best outdoor score of 3.20 meters from the Oscar Moore Invitational in early April of this year.
For the men,
Jean-Michelet Andre placed fourth and gained a new personal record in the 110 hurdles (15.62). A team of
Chandler Koehler,
Troy Hicks,
Jaiden Mabry, and Andre finished eight in the 4x100 meter relay (44.88).Â
Eastern Track and Field will be back in action next Saturday, April 29, at the Monarch Open hosted by Kings College. Events begin at 11:00 am.Â
