ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - In its final match of the season on Saturday, Eastern Men's Tennis dropped a 9-0 decision to York on Senior Day.
Jeffrey Day played another strong match at No. 3 singles to conclude what has been a successful first tennis season. The Kennett Square native won six games in a 6-2, 6-4 loss to Evan Stehman. Senior
Ryan Kratz took three games in a 6-3, 6-0 defeat at No. 2 singles, while
Jacob DeVage won four games at No. 1 singles in a 6-2, 6-2 loss to Tej Laliwala.
Saturday marked the final matches for Kratz and Will Livezey. Kratz played tennis all four years at Eastern and was a solid player at both No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. Livezey joined the team this year and provided a veteran presence and leadership throughout the course of the season.
The 2023 tennis season has officially come to a close.
