ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Going up against one of the top teams in the MAC Commonwealth on Tuesday evening, Eastern Women's Tennis battled valiantly in a 9-0 defeat to Lebanon Valley.
Trinity Gruber played a strong match at No. 2 singles. After dropping the first set, 6-4, Gruber bounced back to score a 6-4 triumph in set two before dropping the third set tiebreaker, 10-3.
Mercedes Lohmann also played a competitive match at No. 5 singles, winning four games in the second set after getting swept in the first set.
Eastern will wrap up its season this coming Saturday with a home match against York. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
