READING, Pa.– Eastern University Men's Lacrosse had the offense running the minute the team stepped off the bus. After dropping four straight against high-quality opponents, the Eagles scored 18 first-half goals on the way to a 25-7 win at Albright College. Avery Porter scored four times and Nicholas Fanelli, Christopher Fanelli, and Ryan Williamson each added hat tricks. 

The Eagles fired 26 first-quarter shots and built an 8-1 lead at the break. Eastern used an aggressive ride and solid work at the faceoff x to dominate possession and unleashed 28 more efforts in the second quarter on the way to an 18-2 edge at the midpoint. Porter and both Fanellis had all their goals in the opening 30 minutes. Gavin Stark had a pair of first-half goals. Patrick McClain, Connor Bachman, Ryan Drobnick, Dan Divita, and Luc Trudel also scored. 

Ethan Myers stopped five shots in the first half and picked up the win. Connor Evans, William Blum, and Ben Connolly came on in the second half. 

The Eagles led 22-4 after three periods. Jake Washco and Ryan Williamson both scored twice in the second half. Ryan Drobnick, Ryan Scheivert, and Jason Poole added single tallies. 


The Eagles (4-6, 1-0) open the home part of their MAC Commonwealth slate with a noon game against Widener on Saturday.
