Veteran Head Coach Mark Birtwistle was featured on a podcast with Matt Leon on KYW Radio. When Birtwistle's Eagles beat the Stevenson University Mustangs on Nov. 5th, he earned his 800th career victory and his 23rd Conference Championship. Eastern Women's Volleyball has won both MAC Commonwealth titles since the University began competing in the league in 2021. Under Birtwistle, the Eagles have 21 NCAA Tournament appearances, 10 trips to the Sweet 16, three to the Elite Eight and one to the Final Four (2011).

In Episode #160 of "1-on-1 with Matt Leon," Matt catches up with Birtwistle to talk about his extraordinary success. They talk about how he was introduced to volleyball, what that run to the 2011 Final Four was like and much, much more.
