Eric Clark to Join Football Staff

ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– Eastern University Head Football Coach Billy Crocker announced that Eric Clark will join his staff to coach cornerbacks and serve as Special Teams Co-Coordinator. Clark brings a wealth of coaching experience and local ties to the program. Eastern University Football completed a club schedule this fall and is slated to compete in the MAC next fall.

Clark played high school football at Northeast High School was a three-year starter at corner back at Towson University. While in high school, he earned All-Public League, All-City, and All-Southeastern Pa. Honors, and has since been named to the City All-Decade Team (2000-09).

He returned to Philadelphia to coach, first an assistant at Imhotep Charter, then as an assistant at Northeast. He served the last three years as the head coach at Northeast. The Vikings finished the 2022 season at 9-3. As a coach he has mentored over 30 players to Division I careers and dozens more to Division II and Division III football opportunities. Clark is a founding member of the Philadelphia Black Coaches Association.

"We feel very fortunate to be able to add Eric to our staff," Crocker said. "Eric is someone who I have known for a long time. I have a great deal of respect for him and what he has done in his coaching career both on and off the field in the city of Philadelphia. He is an experienced coach who will be able to teach, lead and recruit at a level that will help us to succeed as we head into our first season of varsity competition." 

Clark earned his bachelors degree from Towson, and has a Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University. He has also taken classes at Eastern to add to his certifications.
