ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– On the best day for tennis in quite some time, a short-handed Eastern University Women's Tennis squad dropped a 9-0 home decision to the visiting Alvernia University Golden Wolves. With players out for injury and academic responsibilities, the Eagles started the match down 2-0. 

The Golden Wolves won the two remaining doubles matches and grabbed a quick win in singles to secure the result. 

"We were glad to be able to play today," Interim Head Coach Eric Houston said after the match. "Alvernia has a much deeper and more experienced roster. I love that our players are supporting each other and working to get better every day."

The Eagles will look to get healthy as they break for the Easter weekend. They will travel to Lebanon Valley College next Wednesday.
