ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Despite a competitive second match, Eastern's Smash Bros. team dropped a 2-0 decision to Messiah on Thursday evening. 

The Falcons dominated the opening bout, beating the Eagles with six stocks to spare. Eastern rebounded to go toe-to-toe with Messiah in the second match. Playing as Link, Kristina Freebairn played an excellent second game with five KO's to lead the Eagles' offense. The Falcons, however, were able to pull out a two-stock triumph.

Eastern will be back in action next Thursday night against Camden County College.
