"We look forward to having Will in our department," McNelley said. "He is well-respected as a leader and teacher and our student-athletes will compete at a high level and thrive in his program."

Mills will begin begin building his staff immediately. He and his wife Sarah will arrive in St. Davids in August.

"I am very blessed to be joining Eastern University Athletics, " Mills said. "I am excited to be taking over a program that has shown success in a short period of time and I am looking forward to its continued growth, along with the continued growth of the athletes into young men and women who will one day go out into the world and lead."

Mills replaces Michael Moffitt who accepted a job as the Head Coach of Track and Field at Grace College in his home state of Indiana.

Eastern University Track and Field began competition in 2015 and in that short time has had four All-Americans, seven national qualifiers, and won a Women's MAC Indoor Team Championship in 2020. Eastern Cross Country began competing in 2005. The women finished third at the 2019 MAC Championships.
