ST.DAVIDS, Pa.– After welcoming first year students and transfers over the last two days, Eastern University welcomes returning students back to campus this weekend and will start classes next week. With fall sports postponed until spring, Eastern coaches and Athletics staff have still been hard at work preparing to safely build programs through the first semester.
With guidance from the MAC, the NCAA, and the CDC, Eastern Athletics has built an action plan to provide for a safe return to campus. Athletic Director
Eric McNelley and other university officials have worked through the constantly changing landscape of the pandemic to ensure opportunity for Eastern student-athletes to be on campus.
McNelley stressed how important adherence to guidelines will be for achieving the ultimate goal of returning to competition this year. In addition to policies in place for athletes, the Eastern University Fitness Center will have new guidelines for the fall.
