DALLAS, Pa.–
Emma Paugh won a pair of matches, but Eastern University Women's Tennis fell 7-2 at Misericordia in the final match of the 2018 season. The Eagles (6-6, 1-5 MAC Freedom) won at first doubles and first singles, but were unable to claim another match off the post-season bound Cougars.
Paugh and
Lauren Good earned an 8-3 win at first doubles. The Cougars claimed an 8-5 win in a closely contested second doubles match.
Paugh earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at the top singles spot.
Emily Thomas fell ina very close 6-4, 7-5 decision in her final match as an Eagle at no. 6 singles. No Eastern player was able to extend a match to a third set.
Thomas is the team's lone senior.
