DOYLESTOWN, Pa.– Eastern University Men's Tennis won the top two doubles spots and held on to claim a 5-4 MAC Freedom win at Delaware Valley University.

"It was good to jump out in doubles," Head Coach Mark Spangler said after the match. "The second doubles match was going to be a key for us, and Matt Cradduck  and Connor Mooney cruised through it pretty easily."  The pair won 8-1. Ryan Hamilton and Karl Finkbeiner claimed an 8-3 win at first singles.

While the Aggies earned wins at third doubles and picked up wins at fifth and sixth singles, the Eagles cruised to wins in the top three spots. Finkbeiner and Hamilton each dropped only a single game in their matches and Mooney earned a 6-0, 6-0 win to secure the match.

"Connor keeps getting better," Spangler added. "His game is improving in a lot of different areas and he is controlling matches when he should. Ryan and Karl were both sharp today. They forced the issue on points and kept the pressure on their opponents in both singles and doubles."

The Eagles (3-4, 1-2 MAC Freedom) host FDU-Florham on Saturday.
