Men's Soccer Earns Regulation Win at Neumann

Saracco Gives Eagles Lead with 40 yd. Stunner.

ASTON,Pa.- Eastern Unviersity Men's Soccer scored three second half goals to earn a 3-0 win at Neumann University. It is the first regulation win of the year forthe Eagles (4-0-1)

After a frenetic first half ended with neither team finding the back of the net, the Eagles made some minor adjustments and came out with their strongest half of soccer in the young season.

JD Saracco started of the scoring with a stunner from deep in the 58th minute of the match. The junior midfielder picked up a wayward clearance about forty yards from goal, pushed it out of his feet and ripped a ball that was under the crossbar before anyone on Neumann had a chance to react. The goal was the first of the year for Saracco.

Sean Dougherty scored his second goal in as many games on a rebound of a Hunter Rosenberg restart chance. Dougherty, a sophomore midfielder, scored the first goal of his career on Wednesday night. Billy Walenda pressed a Quentin Keibler punt into the goal for the final tally of the contest.

The Eastern coaching staff pointed to the solid play of Xavier Young in the back and the continued impressive pressure that Cade Harmon provided on the right side.

The Eagles had a 17-8 edge in shots on the match. Keibler recorded two saves to earn the shutout win.
