DALLAS, Pa.--Eastern Field Hockey fell 3-1 against the Misericordia Cougars on Saturday, despite outshooting Misericordia 30-9.

Eastern senior Jess Jaindl scored the team's lone goal in the 56th minute. Misericordia goalie Angela Pasquini had a standout game, recording 16 saves. Pasquini has saved 151 shots through 15 games this season.

Misericordia took advantage of its limited opportunities, scoring three goals on four shots on goal. The Cougars went up in the seventh minute and scored again in the 25th and 39th minutes.

The Eagles, 6-9 overall this season, are 1-3 in the Freedom Conference, but are still in playoff contention. They wrap up their conference schedule against teams they are chasing in the conference standings: Manhattanville (2-2 Freedom), FDU-Florham (2-2) and Delaware Valley (3-1).
