MADISON, N.J.--Eastern Volleyball improved to 13-2 and 3-0 in the Freedom Conference with a win over FDU-Florham Wednesday night.
The Eagles defeated the Devils 25-19, 25-15, 25-16.
Eastern's Kearby Benak, last week's Freedom Conference Player of the Week, followed up that performance with 13 kills against the Devils.
Katrina Pisch led Eastern with a .438 hitting percentage, scoring nine kills with two errors on 16 attempts. Overall, the Eagles hit .277 for the match, coming in below their season average of .288. The Eagles held the Devils to -0.222 for the match. This season opponents are hitting just .094 against the Eagles.
Eastern, playing without senior libero Kelly Groff, was led in digs by freshman Lauren Horst, who had 11. Amy Guarino recorded 36 assists in the win.
Eastern participates in a non-league tournament at York College this weekend, taking on Rowan and York on Friday and Centenary on Saturday.
