Box Score

HUNTINGDON, Pa.--Facing the host team in the first game of a tournament doesn't usually bode well for the visitor, as Eastern Men's Basketball experienced Friday night at Juniata's Doc Greene Invitational.

Eastern Men's Basketball, now 1-6 this season, fell 64-43 to the Juniata College Eagles (5-2).

Juniata junior guard Jeremy Hays dropped a game high 17 points in 26 minutes of play and teammate Kevin Stapleton added 15 points in his 19 minutes.

The Eastern Eagles were led by Anthony Bertolino's nine points and Tyler Stowers seven points. Bertolino and Stowers were also the only Eastern players to make multiple field goals. Twelve Eastern Eagles combined for the remaining 27 points.

Eastern shot 33.3 percent from the floor, 16.7 percent from the 3-point land and 47.8 percent from the free throw line (11-for-23).

Eastern plays in the consolation game at 2 p.m. Saturday against Valley Forge Christian College.
