ALLENTOWN, Pa.--Eastern University Women's Basketball defeated the Cedar Crest Falcons 95-68 Thursday night to improve to 8-2.
Freshmen Meghan Nowak and Kaleigh Boreman scorched career highs in points with 34 and 23, respectively. Together Eastern's freshmen scored 78 points.
Nowak leads Eastern with 21.2 points per game.
Boreman shot 7-for-8 (87.5 percent) from 3-point range. This season Boreman is shooting 47.5 percent.
Boreman joins Shante Jones, Katie Lincoln, Bekah Roland and Meghan Nowak as 20-point scorers this season.
Eastern trailed at only one point in the game (6-5) but built a 17-point lead at halftime.
A layup by Bekah Roland with 13:49 remaining gave Eastern its largest lead, a 31-point lead.
The Eagles take on Arcadia University on the road at 1 pm.
