The visiting Pride rallied from early deficits to win both games.
Eastern jumped to a game-one lead when Kate Phelan cracked a two-run triple in the bottom of the third, but Widener bounced back with three unearned runs in the top of the fourth. Each team plated a single run in the seventh inning, but the Eastern rally ended with a runner on base, and the Eagles fell 4-3. Kristine Rosko took the game one loss.
The Eagles took advantage of the base on balls in the first inning of the second game as they scored a pair of runs in the first, but the inning ended with the bases full. Widener scored three runs on four hits and an error in the top of the second to take the lead for good.
With two outs and two on in the top of the seventh, and her team still up 3-2, Widener's Caitlin Callahan lined a 3-2 pitch to right for a two-run single. The Eagles put a single run on the board on a Michelle Morongell single in the bottom half of the inning, but the Eagles were unable to extend the game.
Eastern returns to action at home on Thursday when they play Arcadia University for another non-league doubleheader.
