March 15: Women's Lacrosse Flies Past Falcons

the Eagles with three goals and four assists on the afternoon. The Eagles out-shot the Falcons 41-2.

Sophomore Brittany Wendler opened the scoring with her first of the season 78 seconds into the contest. Wendler then set up Erin Reimel for her fourth of the year. Reimel would finish the day with two goals and to assists. Jess Field scored  her first collegiate goal on a slashing run through the middle. Field had a pair of goals and an assist on the day. Wendler scored her second of the game seven minutes in.

Sarah Hager picked up her second of the year on a beautiful quick-stick shot on a pass from Reimel. Lindsay Moosey and Anne Dietrich then followed with their first goals of the year in quick succssion. Katie Choquette scored midway through the half to make the score 8-0. Griffith scored her first shortly after entering the game with 11 minutes left in the half.

Griffith then set up fellow first-year Katie Maguire for the tenth of the game with six minutes to play in the half. The Eagles would allow the first goal of the second half before scoring eight straight to end the game. The Eagles return to action Tuesday afternoon with a rematch of last years PAC Championship game against Cabrini College.

Coach Azzarano said of the day, "we were able to work on some things and get several young players into scoring position. I was pleased with a lot of our movement off the ball. We are looking forward to Tuesday now."
