Women's Basketball Falls at Wilkes

Box Score led the Eagles with 13 points.

The host Colonels held the Eagles to 8-32 shooting as they forged an 11 point halftime advantage.  Wilkes shot a respectable 42% in the opening half. Tobin scored nine points in the opening frame, but five of those came on free throws.

Both teams shot better from the field in the second half, but Wilkes upped their percentage to a sterling 52.4% with 5-8 shots from behind the arc. The Colonels slowly pulled out to a twenty point edge and held the lead to the finish.

The Eagles held a 48-42 edge on the glass and, according to Coach Levis, did a better job taking care of the basketball. The Eagles turned the ball over 13 times while forcing the Colonels to give the ball away 12 times.

Levis said, "We will continue to work to improve. We did a lot of things better today, but while we got good shots and missed in the first half, we forced a little bit more than we wanted in the second half."

Bekah Roland joined Tobin in double figures with 10 points. The Eagles will break for finals before returning to action with a home non-conference game against Lancaster Bible College on the 16th.
