Messiah College Field Hockey got two first half goals from Player of the Year Kourtney Ehly, and were able to find a another strike midway through the second to earn a tough 3-0 win over Eastern's Field Hockey team.
Coach Azzarano's squad was able to put pressure on the Messiah cage at times, but the Falcons controlled much of the play as Laura Ressler had to make 16 saves for the Eagles. The Eagles earned their first appearance in the Sweet 16 with a win at Skidmore on Wednesday. They fall to 15-7 on the year and have their seven game winning streak snapped.
The loss is the fourth of the year against a top 10 opponent.
