The Eagles found themselves in 1-0 hole early when Rowan picked up a goal in the opening minute of play. Elya Troup scored off an Olivia Derr pass to tie the score in the tenth minute. The Profs took the lead for good in the 20th minute on an unassisted tally from Kiley Graham. Rowan held a 12-6 advantage in shots at the break, but the Eagles held a 6-4 advantage in penalty corners.

The hosts stretched their lead to 3-1 in the 62nd minute. The Eagles worked at the defensive end and pushed into the Rowan circle several times. They were ableto cut the deficit back to 3-2 with a Kristin Brownett goal on a penalty corner. Sarah Garber and Lindsay Moyer earned assists on the play.

Laura Ressler made 17 saves in goal for the Eagles. "We continued to battle throughout the game," Eastern Head Coach Camrin Azzarano said of her team's effort, "and we will be able to take this into the rest of our conference season."

Eastern travels to Alvernia for a critical Conference contest this Tuesday.
