Though the host Cedar Crest Falcons slowed the Eastern attack through the early part of the game. Eastern University Field Hockey s ored five second-half goals on the way to a 7-0 win in the last league meeting between the two teams. 

Kim Campbell scored in the seventh minute, but despite a 9-0 edge in first-half shots, the Eagles were not able to double the lead until Campbell found Lindsay Moyer in front of the goal in the 21st minute.

The Eagles earned ten second-half penalty corners and were finally rewarded when Hope Donnelly scored in the 51st minute. Donnelly made it 4-0 in the 62nd minute.

Ellen Hivner and Tara Schisler scored on either side of Moyer goal in the final six minutes.
